Design the legal data model before you select the platform
Taxonomy decided during implementation becomes technical debt for a decade.
Matter types, entity hierarchy, clause taxonomy and obligation categories are usually decided under time pressure during configuration, by whoever is in the room.
Those decisions outlive the platform. They determine what can be reported, what can be automated, and how painful the next migration will be.
Spend four weeks on the data model before selection. It is the highest-leverage month of the entire programme.
